Blood Type
The Japanese blood type theory of personality is a popular belief that a person's ABO blood type is predictive of their personality, character, and compatibility with others, according to books by Masahiko Nomi. This belief has carried over to a certain extent in other parts of East Asia such as South Korea and Taiwan. In Japan, asking someone their blood type is considered as normal as asking their astrological sign. It is also common for Japanese-made video games (especially role-playing games) and manga series to include blood type with character descriptions.So, as some of us have the obsession of asking what everyone's astrological sign is, (Gackt's is Cancer, by the way) in Japan people ask about blood types. I always did wonder when I was little why blood type was such an important part of a video game character's or an anime character's profile, but it's because they're supposed to reflect the character's personality, and they do, in a way. In Japan the most popular blood type is A, which is, coincidentally, Gackt's blood type. Type AType A is the most famous blood type in Japan. According to the Japanese theory of personality, people who have Type A blood are probably the most emotional out of all the blood types. They are perfectionists, and if something isn't the way they want it, they'll go out of their way to make it the way they want it. Their perfectionism causes them to have very high standards for everything around them, but despite their excessive need for everything to be flawless, they try to appear to be calm on the outside. They are also very competitive and strive to be the best at everything they could.It is also said that Type A's are the most artistic out of all the blood type groups. They can be very shy and sensative at times, resulting in a very conscientious personality. They also make very good friends because they are very trustworthy. People who have the Type A blood type are said to be most compatible with other Type A's but also Type AB's as well, possibly because the AB blood type stems from the A blood type. Gackt's personalityOkay, I'm just a fan of Gackt. Okay, I'm a crazy fan of Gackt but I, in no way, no Gackt personally so I don't know the way he acts with great precision so don't expect everything I say to be true. But, from what I know about Gackt, I can definitely say he does fit the Type A blood type. My favorite thing is when they say Type A's are the most artistic out of all the blood types. Of course that has to be true, because Gackt is one of the most talented and artistic musicians out there. I also know, from reading his autobiography, that he is some sort of perfectionist and that he can't let anything go away half-finished. He is also very competitive, and he always tries to be the best at everything he does, I think that's what got him into being so amazing at the piano. :)OthersThere are many other celebrities you may know that have a Type A blood type as well. Some Japanese celebrities who also have Type A blood are Bonnie Pink, MAI, Caroline as well as her sister OLIVIA, Koda Kumi, Kozi (the guitarist of Malice Mizer, now disbanded), Ayumi (from Zwei), Jang Nara, Yamashita Tomohisa, Maaya Sakamoto, Tetsu (from L'arc~en~Ciel), Anna Tsuchiya, Ami Suzuki, and U-Know (from Dong Bang Shin Ki). There are many other Japanese singers to name with the A blood type, but these are just a few.
