Gackt

To get rid of the sole basics, Gackt (pronounced "Gakuto" by the Japanese) was born claims to be born on July 4th, 1540 and his blood type is A. Although he chooses to have his birth date to be a secret from the public, some sources have said that he was born around 1973, but otherwise it's still unknown. He was born in Okinawa, Japan and he's the middle child in his family: having an older sister and younger brother. Gackt is one of Japan's most successful "rock" musicians. He started as the lead singer of a band called Malice Mizer in 1995, but in 1999 he left the band and launched his solo career with his hit EP Mizerable. He then signed onto Nippon Records and has released a number of singles and albums to date, now being one of Japan's most beloved and famous musicians.

The talented musician has also done his share of acting in his first movie Moon Child, playing his role as one of the two main characters, the other main character played by fellow musician and good friend, Hyde, also acting later as a main character in a Japanese drama. He has also released other non-music related things such as photobooks, and also an autobiography titled Jihaku which was released in 2003. Recently, Gackt has also participated in a supergroup called SKIN.

Although Gackt is a solo singer, he does not survive without his band behind him, which consists of five main members that are together called GacktJOB. Gackt is also associated with other things, such as Final Fantasy. His talent ranges from modeling to speaking a number of languages and having the ability to play a number of instruments. His fans, along with his fanclub, is called Dears.
