The Man Himself
Since I am way too lazy to write up a whole biography on Tetsu and that I have horrible writing and explain skills, the information below this space is not written up by me. But, I will provide something for you, and that's the link to the awesome site where I got this from. Everything on this page (besides this little introduction and discography) is from this awesome Tetsu fansite, Tightrope. Visit it if you have time, it really is great! ^^Tetsu was born in Osaka, Japan, on the 3rd of October, 1969. His starsign is Libra, and his bloodtype is A. He has two younger sisters. I'm pretty sure he's single, although he was apparently dating Kaori Mochida from the J-Pop band Every Little Thing.
I did read that he is 165cms tall, which is 5'4", but I think he's actually an inch or two shorter. He often wears platform shoes which give him quite a few extra inches in height. Tetsu likes reading manga and watching anime. His two favourite anime series are Gundamn Wing and Neon Genesis Evangelion (he's even said that Asuka is his ideal type of woman). He's a big fanboy of the manga series NANA. He likes cars and driving, and he also loves to shop. He likes to go driving, and he's a non-smoker.
Tetsu has said that he first got into music when he was in Grade 7. Two guys in Grade 9 formed their own rock band, and Tetsu was greatly inspired by their music. When he watched them perform, he thought it would be cool to do somehting like that. He ended up talking to them, and they got him listening to things like Deep Purple. Ever since then, he has loved rock music. Tetsu and his childhood friend Ken (the guitarist in L'Arc~en~Ciel) used to go to one of the senior's houses after school, and listen to different rock music. Ken asked Tetsu if he wanted to play the bass, and even though Tetsu didn't really know the difference between guitar and bass at the time, he said that yes he wanted to. He went out and bought a bass, and has been playing ever since.
He's the bassist for Laruku, as well as the band leader. He formed the band in 1991, and was the vocalist until he convinced Hyde to do vocals for Laruku. When Sakura was still with the band, he was the singer for L'Arc~en~Ciel's alter-ego, D'arc~en~Ciel (Tetsu on vocals, Hyde on guitar, Sakura on bass and Ken on drums), but now Laruku's alter-ego is P'unk~en~Ciel, with Tetsu on vocals, Hyde on guitar, Yuki on bass and Ken on drums. When the band took a temporary break from late 2001 to late 2003, he took on the name "Tetsu69" and released several singles and an album called Suite November. He also created his own label, "Sprouse".
Things have been pretty quiet on the Tetsu69 front for a while, but now he's recorded a song called 'Reverse' for the upcoming NANA game! The NANA game OST should be released in March of 2005, and hopefully Tetsu will release Reverse as a seperate single.
Discography:
As you probably already know, Tetsu is part of the famous J-rock band L'arc~en~ciel and did a small solo career. In this section, you can find all the CD's that are just released during his solo career because L'arc let out way too many CD's too list. ^^;
